Terms of Service

Last updated: July 9, 2026

These terms are a plain-English agreement between you and Halo. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Your account

You need an account to use Halo. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know at hello@halo.app if you think someone else is using it.

2. What Halo is

Halo is a personal tool for tracking recurring subscriptions you enter manually. It shows totals, renewal dates, cost-per-use, and trial countdowns. Halo does not connect to your bank, cancel services on your behalf, or process payments to third parties.

3. Acceptable use

  • Don't try to break, scrape, or overload the service.
  • Don't use Halo for anything illegal or to store other people's personal data without permission.
  • Don't try to reverse-engineer or resell the service.

4. Plans and payment

The Free plan is free. Paid plans, when available, are billed monthly in advance and are non-refundable for the current billing period. You can cancel any time from your account settings; you'll keep access until the end of the paid period.

5. Your content

Anything you type into Halo (subscription names, prices, notes) stays yours. You grant us a limited license to store and display it back to you so the app can function. We don't use it to train models or sell to third parties.

6. Service availability

We work hard to keep Halo online but we don't promise 100% uptime. We may change, pause, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

7. Disclaimers

Halo is provided "as is." Numbers shown in the app (totals, forecasts, cost-per-use) are based on what you enter and are for your personal reference — they are not financial, tax, or accounting advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Halo and its team are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. On termination, we remove your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Halo evolves. Material changes will be announced by updating the date above and, where reasonable, by email.
