Refund Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
This page explains how refunds work for Halo paid plans. We keep it simple because nobody likes arguing over a few dollars.
1. Free plan
The Halo Free plan is free forever. You can use it without entering a card or making any payment. No refund applies because there is no charge.
2. Paid plans
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. If you upgrade to a paid plan, you are charged for the current billing month immediately. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.
When you cancel, you keep access to the paid features until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan.
3. Refund eligibility
We generally do not offer refunds for partial months or unused time on a paid plan. However, if you were charged by mistake or within 7 days of your first paid upgrade you decide Halo is not for you, contact us at hello@halo.app and we will review your case.
Refunds, when approved, are returned to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
4. No refunds for
- Charges after you have used the paid plan for more than 7 days.
- Forgotten or unwanted renewals after the first billing cycle — you can cancel anytime before the next renewal.
- Changes of mind after actively using paid features.
- Subscription data you entered or deleted yourself.
5. Downgrades
Downgrading from Pro to Free does not trigger a refund for the current month. The downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Failed or disputed payments
If a payment fails, your paid access may be suspended until the payment succeeds. If you dispute a charge through your bank or payment provider before contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account until the dispute is resolved.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our billing practices change. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
